Define young at your discretion. Please provide some support in terms of previous performance. I ask this b/c I think most of the young actors are terrible and are cast largely based on their looks (particularly the women [I do like Jessica Alba]) instead of their actual ability. So try to be an Academy Awards Nostradamus for young people and please, impress me!

Reply:Ivana Baquero - who played Ofelia in Pan's Labyrinth. She's already won different awards for her performance in Pan's Labyrinth - and is the youngest Spanish actress to do so. She's currently 14.
Or Abigail Breslin - who played the young girl in Little Miss Sunshine. She's currently 12.
Reply:I think Dakota Fanning because she's already been nominated for the SAG awards and she's even a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and she's only 12, so she has a bright future ahead of her.
