The Romans conquered the Jewish territories, they didn't throw out the Jews. The Romans' interest was in empire -- and how would they have a thriving empire if they threw out conquered people?





As for Reagan's inauguration, he was the first president to be inaugurated on the west front of the Capitol. The west side is the side facing the Washington Monument, but it points directly west, not toward the Vatican. Get a globe.
