Christians: are some people marked by the devil?

According to your beliefs, are there some people who are simply evil? As in tools of the devil?

Also, why was the devil cast out of heaven, according to the bible? I always thought it was b/c he asked too many questions and god was an arrogant asshole...

Reply:according to the bible satan was cast down because he basically thought he could overpower god. he got too arrogant and wanted to much power.
Reply:NO YOU DO THAY ALL BY YOUR SELF. IF YOU ALLWAYS DID GOOD IN YOUR HOUSE %26amp;SOMEONE DID BAD IN YOUR HOUSE WOULD YOU THROW THEM OUT? OR WOULD YOU LET THEM DO WHAT THEY WANT? ARROGANT ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Reply:Wow!! mutterhaul just as pleasant as usual.hmmm. Anyway there are people that choose to follow satan and he uses them to entice others into living for him. Satan was cast out of heaven along with all the angels that wanted to be with him because satan ( read the bible) :):):):):)
Reply:Good might be percieved evil by others and evil likewise. How do you determine everything deem correct or right in the first place. Eg: A praying mantis eats her mate alive. evil? There is no absolute in nature. Religions existed for a purpose, propaganda and politics.

And why was the devil cast out of heaven. Ans: So it is written, and it is done.
Reply:I think you're the one asking too many questions and so you too must be an arrogant asshole..

I just don't think you serious in getting an answer, so I won't waste my time
Reply:BECAUSE SATAN WAS JUST LIKE YOU STUPID THE WAY YOU TALK SOUNDS LIKE A CRYING BABY GO TO BED AND TAKE YOUR BOTTLE
Reply:This simply has to be the most ridiculous thing I have heard thus far today. I am sure there are rogue spirits impersonating human beings in this world, but did not God give to man, "free will"? This I do beleive, because we are free to choose and beleive what we will. If a man wishes to follow a path of evil, then he can make it so. If a man wishes to choose a path of righteousness, he can make it so. Like the saying, "I think, therefore, I am". However, someone is going to say there were/are "evil" people put on Earth. I think we all pretty much got equal opportunity to pursue what we will.

I was always taught in Christian church growing up, (I no longer go) that the "Devil" was thrown out of heaven because he got some lesser angels and tried to overthrow God.
Reply:It's not according to the Christian's beliefs, it was written in the Bible circa 60 AD.

It is not that they are the devil's tools, per se. In the seven year tribulation, people receive a mark to be able to buy and sell;

Revelation 14:9-11, "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name."

If you read the book of Ezekiel, you will see that Satan was booted from the presence of God for pride.
Reply:Yes.

Yes, there are people that are simply evil...take for instance Osama bin Laden (spelled right?) He is pure evil. Look into his eyes. There's no life, no emotion. He is being used by the enemy. He kills innocent people, that is evil.

Lucifer was cast out of Heaven because of his pride and because being apart of the story wasn't good enough, he wanted the story to be about him (selfish, pride). He also wanted to be worshipped, like God.

I will not comment on your last comment, as you are trying to in-site anger. I won't go there.

May you find the grace of the living God and His Son Jesus.

((Try reading the Holy Bible...it's awesome!))
Reply:Marked by the devil, then you give the devil the same power of God. I think not. What most likely happens is that there are those that accept the belief in devils or devil and find it very inviting cause then one does not have to live up to anything other than the lowest denominator of the world. Usually these people find out very quickly that those that present themselves as evil and powerful from evil, can control others into believing that they are evil too, this then gives the devil/evil person the power he wants and thus....walla he has control over life and death, that those who fear of such things, gave him.

the idea of a devil certainly is cast from heaven for if it is not of God then it is not allowed. Bye bye to such beliefs, you will find no such beliefs in heaven.
Reply:No, people are not evil beyond their control. We are given the power to choose if we are evil or good.

The devil was cast out of heaven because he rebelled, not because he was asking questions. One could say you've got it backwards, he wasn't cast out for asking questions, but for giving the wrong answers to questions no one asked.
Reply:There is nobody that cannot have salvation.

I will not answer you next tirade, it is embarrassing to you.

Peace!
Reply:I believe that there are some truly evil souls. Dark Souls, is what they are called. There is no devil, or hell. Those are man made terms.
Reply:When Jesus was on the earth he cast demons out of people.

One man had a whole legion of demons in him.

Satan was cast out of heaven because he was a trouble maker.

He caused Eve to sin and then Adam. Then he tortured Job.

And has caused sickness death and it said woe for the earth.

Because he is a butt head who causes trouble.

God didn't throw him out for asking questions.

God said to seek knowledge was a good thing, not a bad thing.

God isn't arrogant but patient because he doesn't want anyone to be destroyed but to live.
Reply:No, some people open themselves up for demonic oppression and some are dedicated to the devil by their parents, which give the devil legal rights . Now the good news is , God is stronger than the devil and when someone wants to come to God through Jesus, He will accept them. The bible says , Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. This is talking about asking Jesus to come into your heart and He is stronger than the devil. A person who is a Christian can get deliverance. Your comment about God was disturbing, but I guess it was spoken out of ignorance. The devil was kicked out of heaven because of pride, he thought he would like to be worshiped like God.
Reply:To not be born again Jesus said "you are of your father, the Devil". The devil was cast out for pride believing he could be higher than God.
Reply:First of all, you should be more respectful.

second, I don't think you're asking this question because you really want an answer. I think it's because you're an angry person and you want a reaction.

But no, I don't think anyone is evil. I believe God can save anyone.

The devil was cast out of heaven because he became too proud and wanted to become like God.
Reply:FAQ: Do Swedenborgians believe in Hell or the Devil?

Swedenborg states "a perception of the sphere of falsity from evil that flows forth from hell has often been granted me. It was like a perpetual effort to destroy all that is good and true, combined with anger and a kind of fury at not being able to do so, especially an effort to annihilate and destroy the Divine of the Lord, and this because all good and truth are from Him. But out of heaven a sphere of truth and good was perceived, whereby the fury of the effort ascending from hell was restrained. The result of this was an equilibrium. This sphere from heaven was perceived to come from the Lord alone, although it appeared to come from the angels in heaven. It is from the Lord alone, and not from the angels, because every angel in heaven acknowledges that nothing of good and truth is from himself, but all is from the Lord" (Heaven and Hell n. 538).

"It has been believed heretofore in the world that there is one devil that presides over the hells; that he was created an angel of light; but having become rebellious he was cast down with his crew into hell. This belief has prevailed because the devil and satan, and also lucifer, are mentioned by name in the Word, and the Word in those places has been understood according to the sense of the letter. But by "devil" and "satan" there hell is meant, "devil" meaning the hell that is behind, where the worst dwell, who are called evil genii; and "satan" the hell that is in front, where the less wicked dwell, who are called evil spirits; and "lucifer" those that belong to Babel, or Babylon, who would extend their dominion even into heaven. That there is no one devil to whom the hells are subject is evident also from this, that all who are in the hells, like all who are in the heavens, are from the human race (see n. 311-317); and that those who have gone there from the beginning of creation to this time amount to myriads of myriads, and every one of them is a devil in accord with his opposition to the Divine while he lived in the world" (Heaven and Hell n. 544).
Reply:Evil can take hold in people and yes, the devil does use that to his advantage, but these people do have free will and can choose to turn their lives around to no longer be influenced by evil.

God through Satan out of heaven because he no longer belonged there. Heaven is for those of us who honor and love God as He loves us, unconditionally.
Reply:People are sinning so bad, that it is them who has allowed the mark of the devil placed upon them. The mark of the devil is placed on the heads of only the ones who allows it, mainly because they have done nothing to save themselves. They do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, so they can be saved from the mark. When you refer to the Christians, they too can have the mark upon them , it they do not live by what they preach and are taught. Do not put much time into thinking about the devil. Just make sure you think of only God.
