Happy Friday!!! Verse(s) of the day: What do you think and feel about it?

D%26amp;C 122: 7 And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.

8 The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

These have a lot of meaning to me and relate to a very personal trial I had to overcome.

And I know they are not in the bible, so if you can handle that and still give an answer, please do.

Happy Friday!!! Verse(s) of the day: What do you think and feel about it?
That means alot to me. I'm going through alot right now. This verse just reminds me that I need to hold my head up high, and never give up. To me this means that my troubles may seem horrible now, and I may be really upset, but in the end, it will help me and teach me to be strong and to love the Lord fiercely and always cling to that no matter what happens. It, to me, says that even if someday I have nobody left in the world, that I am never truly alone.
Reply:It reminds me of Ether 12:27 -- and how, in the midst of the trials in this life that would seem to break my mind and heart, if I humble myself and remember that through the atonement of my Savior, I have access to His strength and courage and love -- and He overcame the world. I need Him if I want to do the same. Then, when I am reunited with Him at last, and see the marks of the whip, the nails and the spear -- He will know me, for I called on Him, I accessed His grace and mercy; and I will have eternal peace and joy everlasting.
Reply:I find these verses kinda frustrating... I know that He went through worse stuff, but I'm busy feeling sorry for myself....
Reply:It means that all experience is for the evolution of our soul, our greatest good. And because God too knows of all of these hardships, we become ever closer to him by bravely going through them.

This is not from the bible? What is it from?
Reply:Sounds like it would make a good movie.
