Based on this passage, which of the following best describes the reviewer's opinion of the movie?

In the new movie, Sweetly Tender, the two main characters, Elizabeth and Ned, make an appealing and believable couple. Elizabeth's struggle is especially compelling, since she must hide her wealthy background in order to be accepted by Ned's middle-class family. And Ned also harbors a terrible secret that I won't reveal here. The pacing is somewhat uneven, and the supporting cast does not offer much in terms of robust performances, but the overall effort is an engaging diversion that is worthy of your attention.

Based on this passage, which of the following best describes the reviewer's opinion of the movie?
c
Reply:I would consider this review to be positive, but with qualifications.
Reply:C. Positive but with qualifications.

The reviewer points out several things he/she liked ("Elizabeth's struggle is especially compelling"), and also recommends that people see the film ("the overall effort is an engaging diversion that is worthy of your attention"), but also points out a few "flaws", as seen in the comments about pacing and the less than robust performances of the supporting cast.

Hope that helps clarify it for you!

Reply:c. Positive, but with qualifications
Reply:Obviously C. The author says the movie is worthy of your attention but that the pacing is somewhat uneven and the supporting cast isnt very good. So they are recommending it,but letting you know it isnt perfect. That's positive with qualifications. Most movie reviews fall into that heading. Not many movies get perfect reviews. Pax - C.
