Which type fossil is formed when an organism gets trapped in a developing rock layer and then decays away leav
C) mold fossil

molds -- Fossils formed when the sediment surrounding a buried organism hardens. When the organism decays, its impression is left in the rock and can be seen if the rock is broken open.
Reply:B) Cast Fossil
Reply:I shall make the score 2-1

The correct answer is actually a Mold, for it to be a Cast, that void or empty space left by the decayed organism must fill in with some sort of sediment which would create a replica of what that organism looked liked, but yea the answer is a MOLD fossil, not cast.
